Default ReWarping in live8

hello,i warped an mp3 (complex)
and now i found the wave for it
so how do i rewarp the wave without having to redo the markers and stuff?

Interesting question, will look into this when I'm back in the studio tomorrow with Live in front of me.

To take a guess though, when you import an mp3 into Live it converts it to a wave in the Decoded folder. So what you could do is replace the wave file in there with the one you found.

What that would do is switch out the wave that came from the mp3 (and therefore limited by the quality of the mp3) with a proper wave version.

The only issue is that the wave you have must be an exact copy of the mp3, just in wave format.

Just had a shot at this.

Looks like Live redoes the cache each time so putting in a wave there didn't work.

I also tried using the edit button on the clip to bring up an external editor and paste in a wave version but it had to then be saved as an mp3 for the clip to recognize the change. Doing it as a wave didn't work.

So looks like you'll need to redo the warp markers on this one.
