How exactly have you got the audio routed, are you using the External Instrument function?

I have the main outs from the novation running into my two ins on my firewire solo (m-audio)

Yup, Sven is right, how exactly are you interfacing with Live on the software end?

I have a midi channel receiving midi from the keyboard itself and then sending the midi back out the port to the keyboard and then recording the audio in a separate channel. i sometimes do filter / knob moves live and record it as audio or I may record midi and fine tune it.

added external instrument to a midi channel - cool

latency seems to be better about 6ms off with no adjustments! I will tinker with this in a bit to nail it down!!

Cool sounds like that fixed the latency issue. Seems like it should have been ok the other way but who knows...
