Default A question ??

Ive just upgraded to version 8 and this tutorial is by far the best and most informative ive come across. spot on!!

I have got a couple of queries that i cant seem to crack

When warping a complete digital track I manually set my - 'Set 1.1.1 Here'

I then select - 'Warp From Here Straight'

I then go to the end of the track and make any adjustments, everything works bang on with the metronome. This I understood was a track warped I have however been told that the Transient marks throughout the track must match the main numbers on the rule in the sample display otherwise I will experience glitching.. is this correct? Unless I Quantize the whole track I cant seem to do this.. Am I missing something..

Many thanks in advance for any advice

Jaydee hi welcome to the forum..

I don't mess with the transient markers on full tracks, only on loops to get them quickly quantized. With most digital songs though it should just take two markers, one in front and one at back to get it perfectly tight.

I don't even bother doing the 'set here' function as I just manually slide the first beat to where it needs to be. But overall sounds like you're doing it properly.

The transient markers might look off if there is for instance swing or 'groove' stuff applied so I would only worry about getting the kick on at the start and end like you have.
