just in case anybody's having trouble with Soundtoys and Ableton 8--

i was having issues in 8 where i was getting crackling coming through the soundtoys plugs in 8.

I spoke with their tech, and they recommended making sure that your buffer size is a power of 2. ie 512, 1024, etc

Ableton allows you to set your buffer at any crazy setting you want, and some plugins don't play nice with that.

Interesting. I do have issues with Soundtoys but its only in loop mode. I get weird feedback and noise bursts due to the cpu spiking and have to shut off certain plugins to reset them.

Will check the buffers though maybe it has something to do with it.

Nice change from the Steinberg rule of taking a year for each update..

Still not sure if these latest ones have fixed the latency issues though.

Just finished up another remix using all mks80 and a touch of scope profit 5, wasnt quite as a pain this time although it seemed like I had to set them initially as MIDI tracks, record the riff and edit it, then I copied that over to an instrument track when I wanted to record it in.
